The Canadian GeoExchange Coalition (CGC) is the governing body for geothermal heat pump installers in Canada. It’s the number one resource for geothermal heat pump technology in Canada, and is a great place to stay up to date on the latest developments in the industry.
Do I Need to be Canadian GeoExchange Coalition Certified?
Getting certified by the CGC as a geothermal heat pump installer is a great way to get comfortable with geoexchange technology and set yourself up for success as a geothermal heat pump installer. Typically we require our installers to be CGC Certified, because most government grants and incentives for geothermal heat pumps require them to be installed by a certified installer.
There is no legal requirement to be CGC certified, but we strongly recommend it. You can visit their website for information on the next training seminar.
What are the Benefits of Being Certified by the CGC?
Being certified by the CGC allows your heat pump installations to qualify for government rebates. This will make your product offering more economically compelling to your customers, and will help you win more business. In addition, you’ll be able to attend CGC tradeshows and you’ll be listed on their directory, which will increase your company’s visibility to potential customers.
