Low Temperature Heating and Air Conditioning
Commercial geothermal applications typically use in-floor heating as their energy distribution system, and hydronic fan coils for cooling. Our Nordic W Series Commercial heat pumps provide heat that is lower in temperature and is ideally suited for in-floor heating without having to use mixing valves. Additionally, because the heat source is beneath the floor, there are no hazardous radiating devices to touch, like cast iron radiators or hot water baseboards with 150°F – 180°F (65°C – 82°C) water.
Similarly, the cool air provided via hydronic fan coils is low temperature, which eliminates blasts of cold air and maintains an even, comfortable temperature at all times.
