Heat Pump Installation

One of the most important parts of any home renovation is finding a contractor or professional you can trust, and that is true for geothermal heating in Ontario. There are several ways to make sure you’ve found a reputable installer, including asking them these four questions. Here are our tried and true methods for finding a heat pump installer that is on the up and up. Follow these suggestions to ensure you get the efficiency and performance you paid for.

Canadian GeoExchange Coalition

You should make sure your heat pump installer is certified by the Canadian Geoexchange Coalition (CGC). The CGC is the governing body for geothermal installers in Canada, and being a member in good standing with this organization is a sure sign that your heat pump installer knows what they’re doing. You can also use the CGC website as a starting point for your geothermal heat pump installer search. The CGC lists all of their members in a searchable database that includes exactly which accreditation the installer holds.

Ontario Geothermal Association

If you’re looking for installers of geothermal heating Ontario has its own organization that you can consult to find out if the company you’re working with is the experienced installer you’re looking for. The Ontario Geothermal Association (OGA) is Ontario’s leading geothermal organization and has a membership directory. If you’re located in Ontario, you can consult this directory and find experienced installers near you.

Our Find a Nordic Dealer Tool

Finally, you can consult our find a nordic dealer tool to find an experienced geothermal installer near you. Our dealer finder lists all Nordic installers we work with on a regular basis, and you can be assured that every installer listed in our tool is experienced. To make things even easier, we’ve compiled a list of our top five installers in Ontario:

I am looking in building a 4700 square foot house with wood frame… 9′ basement, 10′ main floor, 9′ upper level… there will be 4 car oversized garage. I am looking to building the house this spring or summer. I have a very large property so there will be ample space to put in the geothermal loops. I am looking at possible estimate pricing, I am also aware of the possible $20,000 government grant. The property is located in the Town of Ariss 10 minutes from Guelph.
