If you’ve decided that a geothermal heat pump is right for you, the next step is to find a reputable installer you can trust. But where do you start? There are so many options out there that it can be overwhelming. If you’re located in Quebec, we’ve got a list of resources to find the best geothermal heat pump installers, and our own recommendations.

Where to Look for Geothermal Heat Pump Installers in Quebec

There are several resources you can consult to find reputable heat pump installers in Quebec. First, try finding a dealer through our website. Our interactive map will mark your location and find installers nearest you. We only list installers we have a long working relationship with and who specialize in geothermal.

You can also consult the Canadian GeoExchange Coalition (CGC)’s website. The CGC is Canada’s national geothermal organization and they keep a list of all certified installers on their website. To be listed on this website, geothermal installers must complete a course and take a test to certify they have the knowledge required to safely install a geothermal heat pump. This gives you peace of mind and ensures quality standards are met.

If you’re specifically looking for Nordic heat pump installer, we’ve compiled a handy list of installers working in Quebec:

Boreal Geothermal

Located in Bromont, Quebec, Boreal Geothermal is owned and operated by Jacques Fontaine. Boreal Geothermal performs all types of installations from large scale commercial to new construction residential projects to renovations on existing homes. Boreal Geothermal is certified by the CGC and services the greater Montreal area.

Klimfax

Founded in 1969, Klimfax has over 40 years of experience in the HVAC industry. Located in Longeuil, near Montreal, Klimfax is a family owned business specializing in residential heating and air conditioning. Klimfax works with all of our residential products including our newly launched air-to-water heat pump and our Direct Expansion line of heat pumps. They are a member of the CGC and serve the greater Montreal area.

Tips for Choosing a Geothermal Heat Pump Installer in Quebec

Whether you choose your own heat pump installer or one of our recommended installers, it’s important to keep to ask questions and thoroughly interview the HVAC company that will be performing the work. This eliminates any chances of unpleasant surprises. You should always ask the following questions:

  • Are you CGC certified?
  • How many geothermal installations have you completed in the past?
  • Can I have references for past projects?

Furthermore, make sure you get at least two quotes from different companies to make sure you are get getting a competitive rate, but don’t forget that cheapest isn’t always best.

To find a geothermal installer near you, use the dealer locator on our website.
